Marilee started First Response Jersey in 2006 after qualifing as an Instructor and assessor with a.i.d Training in Warminster.
In 2015 she gained the Level 3 Award in Education and Training in line with the current HSE requirements for Instructors and Assessors of First Aid qualifications.
Previously working as a Dental Nurse and in medical practice for ten years she gained experience in patient care and daily contact with a variety of medical conditions.
Marilee also served in the British Army (Royal Engineers) (TA) where she underwent training in Battlefield First Aid and Casualty Evacuation.
For the past 16 years, she has worked as part of the Exercise Referral team specialising in Cardiac Rehabilitation and a wide variety of Medical conditions.
Other qualifications include – Heart Start Instructor for the British Heart Foundation – Royal College of Nursing Allergywise trainer in the treatment of Anaphylaxis and use of auto injectors.
Marilee is a Voluntary First Responder with the States of Jersey Ambulance Service and is a member of Normandy Rescue.
Both of these roles as a Medic require Marilee to attend regular training and updates to maintain her skills.
